Feds Arrest 34 in Sweep of Mexican-Linked L.A. Gangs

LOS ANGELES — More than 60 people allegedly linked to a Hispanic street gang have been charged with racketeering and drug trafficking in an indictment that accuses them of attacking blacks in South Los Angeles to maintain control in certain neighborhoods.

Of those under indictment, 34 were arrested during sweeps Tuesday following a three-year investigation, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

They are suspected members of the Florencia 13 gang, which authorities say is controlled by the Mexican Mafia.

Prosecutors accuse the group of shooting blacks, rival gang members and innocent residents.
"In their attempt to intimidate African Americans in the community, they targeted innocent citizens," U.S. Attorney Thomas P. O'Brien said.

A total of 61 defendants were named in two indictments — one charging violations of federal racketeering laws and the other charging federal narcotics trafficking violations. The indictments were returned by a federal grand jury on Sept. 27 and unsealed Tuesday.

Besides the 34 arrested, some of the others are already in custody or listed as fugitives, authorities said.

Those named in the racketeering indictment face 20 years to life in prison if convicted. The narcotics indictment carries 10 years to life in prison.

So how many of these are illegal immigrants? So if they all were, border control and immigration enforcement would have prevented all of there crimes and the crimes of all other illegals? I bet yes, which makes any crime by an illegal Preventable!

We have one of the most fair immigration policies in the world. If you come here legally, you have no reason to FEAR us or our law enforcement.

I have mentioned a group repeatedly in my blog here again and again. They are more of a threat to our country currently than Al Quida. Now think about that statement, More Of A Threat Than Al Quida. Why is that? Quite simply, this group is operating without hardly any restraint within our borders. They are killing people on our streets, and are aligned with people who do not care if you die because all they want is your money.

Our open borders are very much to blame. These are not our street gangs of yesterday. Actually, these guys are killing the street gangs of yesterday to clear a path for themselves. This group is funded by entities outside of our country that have more funds than the combined resources of our entire nations police departments and federal law enforcement COMBINED.

Another reason of why they are more of an eminent threat is that they are already here. They are in cities and towns across the entire United States.

So, who funds them? We do. Every drug user in our country is supporting these guys. The only people who get a pass here are your local weed smokers who grow their own. This group is tied into the drug cartels of South America.

The vicious street gang MS-13
is trying to unify itself across the U.S., posing a threat to law enforcement in
major American cities — including the nation's capital — that could rival the
major drug cartels of Mexico and Colombia, according to a report
published Wednesday in the Washington
Times.
"Traditionally, the gang consisted of loosely affiliated groups
known as cliques; however, law enforcement officials have reported increased
coordination of criminal activity among Mara Salvatrucha cliques in the Atlanta,
Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and New York metropolitan
areas," states a confidential memo sent out earlier this month from the U.S.
Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Illinois, the newspaper
reported.
"MS-13 is attempting to become a unified criminal enterprise
operating under one leadership."
The newspaper obtained a copy of the memo and an Army intelligence presentation on the growth of MS-13, also known as Mara Salvatrucha.
Federal law-enforcement officials say the gang is adopting
tactics used by major Mexican and Colombian drug-trafficking groups and has
become a gun-for-hire for many major Central and South American drug-trafficking
cartels, the newspaper reported.
"Indications that previously independent cliques are forming alliances with
other MS-13 cliques, as well as with other gangs to facilitate criminal
activity, further heighten the threat," the letter continued. "It would be
dangerous to look at MS-13 as just another street gang."

Oh, its the MS13 again. A group made up of almost completely of Illegal Immigrants. This is the goods we reap from a relaxed attitude to the issue of our southern border. If the Federal Government believes they are somewhere, you can typically add to that by doubling their assessment.

So, I know some people are worried about undocumented workers and that we will harm them by closing our borders, are they aware of these undocumented workers? Besides, if you have come here illegally, why are we doing more to support them than the legal citizens of this country? If their is a starving family in our country who is not being cared for as well as these outsiders, than what we are doing is defecating on our own people. If there is a jobless citizen because he cannot compete with illegals at this low of a wage, we are urinating on our own people. We have families who are suffering daily who belong here, and have broke no laws, and they are not even getting half the help that our Illegals are getting. And many of the services they could receive are being drained by our Criminal Immigrants.

Are we so blind? Wake up America!

National Guard standing down.

I understand that the National Guard isn't allowed to currently conduct "Law Enforcement" on our borders. That is why this falls into what I describe as "Stupid"!

PHOENIX — Armed men who prompted four National Guard members to pull
back from an observation post at the Arizona-Mexico border probably weren't
trying to test the reaction of the troops, the head of the Arizona National
Guard said Monday.
They likely happened upon the soldiers while walking
across rocky terrain from Arizona into Mexico, said Maj. Gen. David Rataczak,
speculating that the gunmen were carrying drug money south across the border.
In the face of criticism that the troops set a bad precedent for border
security, Rataczak told a homeland security committee at the Arizona Legislature
that the troops acted properly in relocating to a nearby site and calling in the
Border Patrol to respond.
"They did exactly what they were told to do," said
Rataczak, adding that the actions of the soldiers prevented an international
incident from occurring.
The four National Guard soldiers from Tennessee
were on the lookout at a post near Sasabe on Jan. 3 when they spotted four to
eight gunmen who were approaching.
Arriving at the scene about 15 minutes
later, the Border Patrol tracked the armed men back to the border, but weren't
able to find them. No shots were fired.
Over the last three weeks, advocates
for tougher enforcement have questioned the point of having troops on the border
if they can't confront such dangers.
Supporters of the decision to call in
the Border Patrol to respond to the incident said the troops were never intended
to perform law enforcement duties, but instead were there to pick support duties
that tie up immigration agents, who then have more time to catch illegal
immigrants.
"They are not able to do anything," said Republican state Rep.
Warde Nichols of Chandler, chairman of the committee. "They have to just radio
their communications. They have to take defensive postures where they can't
basically fire until fired upon."
Nichols plans to file a bill this week
that would put the National Guard one step closer to immigration enforcement by
authorizing troops to apprehend illegal immigrants.
The four soldiers in the
incident near Sasabe were among the 6,400 National Guard members sent to the
four southern border states to perform support duties that tie up immigration
agents, who then have more time to catch illegal immigrants.
The support
duties include monitoring border points, assisting with cargo inspection and
operate surveillance cameras.
The rules that Guard members work under allow
the troops to use force when they believe they face an imminent threat and all
other means are exhausted, state officials have said.
In the Jan. 3
incident, a gunmen carrying an automatic rifle came within 15 meters of one
soldier, who had a bullet in the chamber of his firearm. Both men stared at each
other for several seconds and kept their rifles pointed downward, Rataczak said.
"Had that undocumented (immigrant) pointed his weapon at our soldier, I
might be testifying here today, telling you why we killed an undocumented,
because he would not have survived," Rataczak said.
Republican Rep. Jerry
Weiers of Glendale said the rules can put Guard members in a tough position,
because the gunmen probably didn't operate under the same standards.
"My
real, true, honest concern here is that we don't return fire until we have been
fired upon, and by then we have probably lost a life," Weiers said.
Critics
said the incident had broader border security implications because armed people
know the National Guard will retreat.
Rataczak said he was pleased with the
outcome and disputed that the incident was a retreat.
The four soldiers
weren't overrun and didn't flee, but rather moved to a site a short distance
away where they could continue to keep their eyes on the gunmen, Rataczak said.
Democratic Rep. Tom Prezelski of Tucson said he was sure that the soldiers
were prepared to prevail if they had faced a more serious confrontation.
"I
am a little uncomfortable with the idea that we are portraying them as helpless
and having their hands tied," Prezelski said.

So regardless of what Prezelski says, the fact that our National Guard was ordered by someone to back down and retreat, this is as close to a defacto hand tieing that you can do to a soldier. This is the same as telling street cops they cannot arrest anyone even if they saw the crime occur, or, telling our highway patrols they cannot ticket or even speak to speeders.

To quote Ted Nugent, "Let the big dogs loose and let them do what they do best!"

Fences and Walls, the difference is in the use.

I was reading an article called "Fencing Would Assist Border Agents" and my thoughts went to this subject and what I learned in history.

Fences and walls are bad or good depending on their uses.

If they are built to keep someone in (not including prisons and jails) which restricts them from freedom of movement like the Jews in Poland, it is wrong. Those walls and fences were traps. The food they got was what they could buy and passed through the fences to them. When their money ran out, they sold jewelry, family items, and even religious items. In time they even sold the gold in their teeth and the clothes they wore. When they ran out of items to trade, they died in mass. I suggest that everyone watches "The Nazi's: A Warning from History" which details many things about death camps, especially Treblinka. When moved from the Warsaw Ghettos to the death camps, the Jews were constantly imprisoned by walls and fences.

Now today, we can look to the Jews and many other people in how walls and fences are used for good. Walls and fences are being used to keep others who would hurt their people out. In our own society we use walls and fences to keep our own people safe, and that is the main difference. It is how a wall is used.

I have no problem using a wall to prevent criminals from gaining access to my house. I have no problem using a fence to keep convicted criminals in prison. I do have problems with walls that are built like the Berlin Wall which separated Germans from Germans. Now we must examine this a bit closer.

The Berlin Wall was built by the Soviets after World War II in 1961. Guard towers and land mines were placed to keep the East Germans in, and if they tried to cross to freedom, death was often the result. You could be shot for just approaching the fences and walls which made up the Berlin Wall. The Soviets would have spies in and amongst the populace listening for any talk of attempting an escape. If caught doing this, you faced prison or death.

This is not what we are doing today. Today we are asking that a fence be built to keep non-Americans out. Not just any non-Americans, but those wishing to enter illegally. Not only are many trying to enter illegally, many are bringing in drugs.

So that equals more than a pound of drugs per person captured. Now we all know that the Border Patrol is trying their best, but we can easily guess that this is around 4 to 10 percent of what is actually coming across. So why not a fence? We are not building it to keep Americans or Legal Immigrants from traveling. We are not building it to imprison anyone. We are building it to protect our lands.

Whenever I hear that these people are only coming to find a better life, I always wonder about the Latin Kings, MS 13, Mexican Mafia, Nortenos, and Surenos just to name a few. This isn't even getting into the organizations which have been missed by mainstream media and law enforcement. Now I do know that not all the members of these gangs are illegal immigrants, but if you trace the history in each group and current memberships, you will find more than enough of illegals to make you concerned. Oh, and this isn't even mentioning the other gangs from groups originally coming from places not south of our border.

A fence is only a start. Call it a stop gap measure, but any slowing of the flow of illegals and drugs would do us some good, and buy us some time to figure out a better solution than what we currently have now, which is almost nothing.

So, almost a hundred years ago, people in charge of our country understood what it meant to be an American. One country, one language, one flag. Anyone who says they are here to take anything away from us is declaring war. The people who say they are here to take back parts of the United States and make it part of Mexico is committing grievous crimes against our country. Sedition is still a capital offence, and should be punished by death. We fought a civil war against our own people over their attempts to do such. So I ask, why do we allow people today to say these things?

We always hear that the criminal immigration crowd is coming here to make their lives better for them and their families. But then if this is truth, why are some of them wanting to make our country more like the one they ran away from? Not only make it more like, they want to make it a part of. My confusion grows at this point. If life sucked so bad there, why come here and make it like, well, there?

If they actually accomplished their goal, wouldn't it make sense that after a short time, they would run away again? This makes me think that this would be like the Jews escaping the German forces showing up elsewhere and saying they want to install the Third Reich into power. They haven't and never will, but what I hear in the news, this is what the Mexicans are saying.

Now, perhaps it isn't about escaping corrupt government. Perhaps it really isn't about escaping poverty. Perhaps it isn't about finding a better life. Maybe, just maybe it is about theft. Theft of our jobs, land, homes, business', and medical care. Truly throughout history, theft on this scale is war. When Saddam took Kuwait, that was an act of war. When the Germans took Poland, that was an act of war. We can even go back to World War 1 to examine this. When the Germans took part of France because at one time it was part of Germany, it was war.

If you believe and support this retaking of our lands, lets go all out. France should come and take over Canada again, plus whatever else they once had control over. It would solve the post Katrina problems because the French would own New Orleans. We can give up the upper east coast to Britain. I am sure they would love that. Russia can have Alaska back as well in all of this, even though we bought it fair and square from them when Seward made the deal. But under that line of thought, Mexico should return to Spain, as well as most of South America. But what if we go even further back in time.

Rome should be re-established and given back all of of their lands, but this would only last until the kingdoms which pre-dated them are re-established, so it would leave their hands at that point. So lets get to work. Oh, if we follow this model, the Inca's, Mayans and Aztec's would enslave the people of their lands. Hmmm, perhaps we should get to work building a temple and altar for blood offerings again.

People, history is full of wars. Borders move all the time. We now have more countries in our world than anytime before this. If we went back to the beginning and gave back everything to people who didn't like the way it changed, we will never be done.

Today in Africa, there are wars being fought by kids. I do not mean the western idea of kids which include people until their mid-twenties. I mean children of the ages 16 and down. Would you want your 11 year old son shooting your neighbors? Perhaps the other side, do you want your daughter of 10 being claimed against her will to be a mans fifteenth wife being raped at will? Now if you wonder what happens to those who complain, or even cry about this, they either cut off their arms and legs, or just have the 11 year old soldiers hack them up in front of the newly kidnapped kids to show them what happens if the resist.

I am sure someone somewhere says that this is because someone wronged them, and it is ok.

Our country was created to go in a different and never before tried direction. It gave unquestioned rights to our people. After slavery was abolished, we still had to tweak the system. Even as long ago as the 1990's we are still trying to get things right for our citizens. Oh, what, who? Our American Citizens.

So clarify something for me. Are these illegal immigrants citizens? No, because they are illegally here. So why do we even allow them the rights and protections of our own people? Because our country is better then where they came from. So again, why do they want to take our lands and make it part of a place that sucked so bad? Maybe because we are being flooded with uneducated fools.

Our country is going to have to make a choice. If we want to maintain our freedoms, we need to control our borders. If we want to maintain our liberties, we need to have accountable citizens. Without borders and citizens, we are a lawless wasteland in which war lords will rise.

Maybe I am wrong. Maybe I should be moving into the really nice house down the street from me and claim it as mine. I will send you all the bills, and if you do not pay them, I will blame you for allowing me to have moved into the house in the first place.
